The Game. (a brief summary) The Game
The game is a combination of RPG(Role Playing Game) and RTS(Real Time Strategy) that is very similary to the popular Warcraft III map DotA (Defense of the Ancients). You play as a demigod fighting for a position as a god. While there is a single player campaign, its really little more than a tutorial to get you ready for the multiplayer game online! There are 2 teams in each battle, the "Forces of light" and the "Forces of Darkness". The multiplayer games have several modes. Ranging from Conquest (Destroy the enemy base) to Slaughter (First team to so many kills). You start as level 1 in each new game, putting everyone on a relatively equal footing. However each game earns you favour points which can be used to purchase "Favour Items" to give you an edge in games that allow their use.
The Good The Good
Games are relatively short and fast paced unlike many RPG style games.
This makes it possible for more casual gamers to play this.
No Grinding!
The major fallback with most RPGs is the hours and hours you have to spend killing little creeps or doing pointless quests. There is none of that here. While you can earn XP (experience Points) by concentrating on the creeps, you can also earn XP by hunting enemy demigods or capturing flags.
No Monthly subscriptions!
Where many popular multiplayer RPGs charge a monthly subscription Demigod does not, once you've bought the game, you're free to play for as long as you want.
It's Pretty!
Although this sounds shallow, its a valid point. This game is stunning and very enjoyable to play. The interface is intuitive and easy to learn.
The Bad The Bad
Buggy Multiplayer
The game was released with many connection issues, make it a bit annoying to try and get into a game. (However updates are constantly improving this)
Mildly Addictive
You may find yourself playing for a couple of hours without realising it. It's that fun!

If you're looking for a game to pass hours or just game to play for half an hour on your lunch break, this is a great game. Easy to learn, difficult to master, fast paced and very engrossing.
